Bonacca ( The Cay )

Pirates Den Bar and Restaurant. Newly refurbished and located in the center of town. Menu offering fresh, locally caught seafood, chicken and meat dishes. Daily lunch specials offered at noon. Mexi-Treats Mexican restaurant and the newest on the cay. Delicious and generous portions in an air-conditioned atmosphere. The chef is from Mexico and brigs all of her specialties to Guanaja for a real treat! Daily lunch specials are served at noon for Lps. 60.00 per plate. The Best Stop Restaurant and Bakery. Chef Terry Zapata, famous throughout Guanaja offers a wide variety of fast foods such as hamburgers, hot wings and the best subs in town. The bakery on the premises makes all kinds of tasty breads, pastries, cakes and pies every morning. A favorite with tourists and locals. Outdoor seating faces the municipal basketball court on one side and a marina on the other. Saturday night is a family event and is usually the place to find out all the latest news on the island. Savannah Bight

Pirates Landing Disco Located in the center of town facing the ocean. There is a private dock for all customers. This is the most popular disco on Guanaja and islanders and tourist from all over the island frequent during the weekends. There is a great dance floor with an awesome light show and live DJ every night except Tuesdays. Cool trade winds make this a cool place to be in the evenings. Open weekdays from 2:00 p.m. till midnight, and weekends from 2:00 p.m. till 2:00 am.

Grahams Place Located on a key, and offering a very pleasant beach setting with a full service bar and restaurant. Open daily from 7:00 a.m to 10:00 p.m. Credit cards not accepted. Nice view of Guanaja and always cool with the trade winds. Also a small 3 room hotel on premises. Dock area has a small corral with a variety of marine species including a sting ray, barracudas, sea turtles and other fishes. Without doubt a very pleasant, relaxed setting.

The Crazy Parrot Bar Located in Sandy Bay (The Bight), right on the bay, two beautiful designed gazebos accented by Local Artist Ian Fisher's authentic island paintings is home to a Bar/Restaurant open everyday except for Mondays.
The Crazy Parrot offers a menu for Lunch and Dinner specializing in Fried Chicken and Fries, Fish soup, Jerked Chicken, Lobster fritters and BBQ pit specialties. A popular full service bar offers a wide selection of exotic cocktails, frozen drinks, local and international beer and a full selection of imported wine. The Crazy Parrot Bar is a sporting theme establishment featuring 5-A-Side Football pitch with floodlights. Weekly competitions with prizes make this activity an exciting place to see the local night life. There is also a swimming pool, pool table and table football. The sound system is the best in the Bay Islands providing great island entertainment for Dancing and Karaoke nightly.


Pelican Reef

Dina's Reef House Lounge Bar and Restaurant located directly over the water with a view of Bonacca. A very pleasant and friendly atmosphere for travelers. Waterside dining and dancing with island style music. All of the girls that work in the bar are very friendly and are more than happy to dance with the customers. Menu specialties are seafood, pork, fast foods and typical island foods, such as beans, rice, tortillas and cheese. There is a private waterside dock for customers and water taxi service. West End Beach

West Peak Inn West Peak is located at the very tip of Guanaja's West End Beach. It is a favorite place for locals to get together on Sundays for the famous BBQ. Michael Rock Beach

The End of the World The End of the World Resort is located on a three mile stretch of beach is a favorite new place for locals and tourists. The bar and restaurant are right on the beach. Without doubt the best stocked bar in the Bay Islands, serving exotic tropical cocktails like Piña Coladas, Margaritas and Daiquiris all made with local fruits and liquors. Don't forget to ask for the local Guifitty, an aphrodisiac beverage prepared by the Garifunas in the mainland! Every Saturday and Sunday are BBQ days specializing in local seafood. Caseta 2000 This is what an island bar is all about. Located about 800 yards from the End of The World, this little beach bar has a sand floor, BBQ pit, cold beer and a panoramic view of the ocean. Guanaja Airport

The Hillton Hotel and Thirst and Last Stop Bar You can't miss this place unless you arrive blind folded! This bar is open for all tourists and locals waiting for the flights to arrive and depart Guanaja airport. Cold beer and rum are always on hand to give visitors a warm welcome of a jump start for that trip home. Owned and operated by the famous Capt. Al and son Andy, they are always happy to advise the arriving tourist on how and where to go while in Guanaja.
